I have always driven to Walt Disney World. I mean, they say half the fun is getting there! But sleep-deprived and driving 14 – 16 hours straight, and being exhausted before I even stepped into a park, did not seem like half the fun. In fact, it was no fun at all, but it was less than the cost of flying.
I am going to Walt Disney World in a few weeks, and I am flying, which means I won’t have a car unless I decide to rent one. But do I need to rent a car? Walt Disney World is roughly 40 square miles, and for the most part, it is impossible to walk anywhere. If you are staying at a Disney Resort, you really don’t need to rent one. Plus, all of the Disney resorts now have nightly parking fees, so that will greatly increase my cost to rent a car. I have no intention of leaving Walt Disney World while I am there, so I decided against renting. Why? Check out all of these free Disney transportation options!
